Cold Weather Protocol for Ski Training
Think it is too cold to ski?  Check the Marmot website to see what the temperature is at the hill by 8:30 am. There are often inversions, which means it can be warmer up at the hill than at lower elevations.

If the forecast is for below -20C, start time is automatically pushed to 10:30 a.m.

At 9:30 a.m. if the weather is still too cold for training the HEAD COACH for each division will send an e-mail calling for cancellation for training for that day.  If you do NOT receive an e-mail, we are going ahead with training at the later time of 10:30 a.m.

K1 and K2 go up to train, unless otherwise notified.  You gotta be tough at the K level

E-mails will come from:

Marek and Brent to inform K1 & K2 racers

Patrice Fortin to inform Nancy Greene Ski League Racers

 Mike will  inform Fast Track.

Nancy Greene Entry Level Program 6-10 Yrs

This fun racing program is designed for children 6-10 years old. This level introduces children to basic ski techniques and skills, safety rules, and teamwork. Our coaches work in a fun and motivating atmosphere, which will foster a lifelong love of alpine skiing.

The club usually travels to one or two out of town races during the season. These races are considered part of the training program.

Note: Skiers must be confident on blue runs and be 6 years old by December 31,2010.  ( if your child is not ready for the race program try the Learn to Ski Program- see below)
